On motion by Mr Richardson, Ordered that the Secretary of the Senate notify Mark Harris Esq. that he has by the joint ballot of the two branches of the Legislature been elected Treasurer of State for the current political year. [Notice to M. Harris, Treasurer of State]
On motion by Mr Grover ordered that the committee on the Judiciary be requested to take into consideration the expediency of authorizing Registers of Deeds to employ clerks, and also as to expediency of remitting to Registers of Deeds the 17 cents duty on each deed recorded when the amount received by a Register of Deeds for any one year does not exceed

Order of the House of Representatives that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of providing that all witnesses called to testify before any committee of the Legislature be first sworn in the same manner as witnesses who testify in Courts of Justice was read and passed in concurrence.
