Constitution need any alteration or amendment - also to inquire what alterations or amendments the public interests require in the laws relating to the organization of plantations - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence

An order came from the Senate for concurrence directing the committee on the Judiciary to inquire whether there are any cases, in which Administrators & Executors ought to be by law required to give bonds to the Judge of Probate, where now they are not so required. - also whether any further provisions are necessary, additional to those already provided by law for the appointment of Guardians to Spendthrifts & idlers and drunkards - also whether any further provision ought to be made by law respecting the condition of the bond required to be given by Guardians: and to inquire into the expediency of authorizing by law the Judges of Probate to appoint an Attorney adverse to Guardians on the settlement of their accounts and to inquire what further provisions are necessary to be made for benefit of minors - and also to inquire into the expediency of repealing so much of the Probate law as requires the Judge of Probate in certain cases to appoint a principal creditor, Administrator with leave &c - and the House concurred.

On motion of Mr Jewett of Scarboro' Ordered, that the use of the Representatives Chamber be given to the Convention of Citizens to be holder in this town on the twenty third inst. and on the succeeding day when the House is not in session - read & passed.

The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Resolve providing for the purchase & distribution of Greenleafs Reports - which was finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - in addition to an Act entitled an Act for the regulation of Inholders, Retailers & Common Victuallers, reported by a committee of this House, was read 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at ten oclock
