Petition of Isaac Tyler that authority may be given to Amos Horn Barber a minor adopted by him, to take the name of Amary Hunting Tyler, was read & referred to the committee on change of names.

Petition of Daniel Granger for a cession to the United States of the jurisdiction of certain territory in Saco & Biddeford, came from the Senate referred to Messrs Emery, Herrick & Shaw with such as the House may join - and the House concurred & Messrs Mitchell of Freeport, Spring of Biddeford, Bourne of Kennebunk Hubbard of Cornish & Goodwin of Elliot were joined.

Petition of William D Robinson & als for a repeal of the law requiring Retailers to pay a duty of six dollars &c. was read & referred to the committee on the Judiciary. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Barret Potter in behalf of the Cumberland & Oxford Canal Corporation for authority to change the termination of said Canal from Westbrook to such other place as may be deemed expedient after a further survey, was read & referred to Messrs Emerson of Portland, True of Poland & Brown of Baldwin

The House took up the consideration of the report of the Committee on the subject of the North Eastern Boundary and having dispensed with the reading of the most immaterial parts thereof ordered a number not exceeding one thousand copies thereof at the discretion of the committee who reported the same, to be printed, and to be subject to the future disposition of the Legislature.

And the House adjourned.
