Bill - to incorporate the York Chapter of Royal Arch Masons was read a third time & passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - to incorporate Literary Fraternity of Waterville College, was read 1st & 2d time & Monday next at ten oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill - to incorporate the town of Bayleyville, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Resolve laying a tax on the several Counties in this State, was read a 1st & 2d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Report of the committee to inquire into the expediency of providing for the appointment of a Civil Engineer, that legislation is inexpedient, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.

Bill - additional act regulating the fishery of Alewives in the town of Mount Desert, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill - additional to the several acts now in force respecting Highways, came from the Senate, that body refusing to adopt the amendment proposed by the House on the 14th inst at P - and the House adhered to said amendment.

The House assigned Monday next at three oclock to consider the Bill - providing for the promotion of Education.

Mr Bradford of Livermore & Carpenter of Howland have leave of absence after Monday next during the remainder of the session.
