On motion of Mr. Bartlett of Garland, Ordered, That the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire as to the expediency of altering the law respecting the collection of taxes, assessed for building or repairing School Houses - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr Dole of Alna Ordered That the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire as to the expediency of authorizing, mechanics or others, having by law a lien on specific articles to sell the same. read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr Folsom of Eastport, Ordered, That Messrs Folsom of Eastport, Nash of Addison, & Blunt of Trenton with such as the Senate may join be a committee to inquire as to the expediency of enlarging the powers of Constables in the County of Washington - read & passed. On motion of Mr. Boutelle of Waterville, Ordered, That the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire as to the expediency of providing by law that the right & interest of any person to a conveyance of real estate upon conditions to be performed by him, shall be liable to attachment and execution in the same manner as equities of redemption of mortgaged real estates, and estates holden by possession and improvement are liable. read & passed.
