On motion of Mr Kidder of Milburne, Ordered, That the Committee on the Militia and Military Affairs, be instructed to inquire into the expediency of repealing so much of the Militia law as requires the exhibition of ball cartridges by non commissioned Officers and privates at the annual inspection - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence, directing the Judiciary Committee to inquire as to the expediency of passing a law to ascertain the number, condition & annual expense of the paupers of this State - and the House concurred.

The committee on Bills in the third, reading reported as duly engrossed Bill - in further addition to the several acts now in force to organize govern, and discipline the Militia of this State - - to incorporate the Proprietors of Dead River Bridge - - to set off Washington Remick from Kittery to Eliot to repeal a former act for the same purpose - which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.
