Bill - to incorporate the Somerset Mutual Fire Insurance Company, was read a 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at ten o clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Petition of John P Simes & als, Clerks at the Navy Yard near Portsmouth, to be exempted from Military duty was read & referred to the committee on the Militia & Military Affairs. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Jedidiah Dow setting forth that he has discovered a mode of preserving Domestic Animals & requesting aid from the Legislature, was read & referred to the committee on so much of the Governors Speech as relates to Agriculture &c - Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - to incorporate the Gardiner Mutual Fire Insurance Company, reported with an amendment which was adopted, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed as thus amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve to prevent depredations on the public lands, was read a second time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill - repealing part of an Act establishing the duties to be paid by certain officers therein named, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - to incorporate the Kennebec Mutual Fire Insurance Company, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed.
