Bill - additional to an act concerning the assessment and collection of taxes, came from the Senate passed to be engrossed with amendments - and the House indefinitely postponed the same.

Bill - to establish the rate of Usury, and to restrain the taking of excessive Usury, was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10' o clock assigned for a 3d reading & 300 copies ordered to be printed for the use of the Legislature.

Bill, abolishing imprisonment for debt laid on the table by Mr Emerson of Harrison, was read once & referred to the next Legislature

Bill - in addition to an act concerning Registers of Deeds was read a third time, amended & then indefinitely postponed. Sent up for concurrence

The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Bill - additional to an act providing that bonds shall be given by Sheriffs & Coroners to the Treasurer of this State & granting remedies thereon - - making provisions for organizing Corporations - - in further addition to an act to regulate the manufacture & inspection of Stone Lime & Lime Casks - - additional act regulating Divorces - which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

The same committee reported as duly engrossed, Resolve in favor of the Warden of the State Prison - - in favor of Joseph B Prince - - making an appropriation for the late Warden of the State Prison & for other purposes - which were severally finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.
