Resolve in favor of favor of Tomah Loui, was read and passed to be engrossed as in new draft marked A. Sent up for concurrence.

The Committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed, Resolve - requiring returns from Clerks of the Judicial Court - which were severally finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - an act respecting the State Prison and the rules, regulations & management thereof, was referred to the next Legislature & thereupon Ordered that the Commissioners appointed to examine the State Prison Accounts be requested to prepare & report a Bill providing for the regulation and government of the State Prison with such a code of Bylaws in relation to the same as to them may appear fit & proper and that said Commissioners make report of their doings to the next Legislature, and that the several Bills & papers reported to the present Legislature be committed to them for their examination & information. read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve fixing the compensation of the Commissioners of Public Buildings, came down referred indefinitely for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Message was received from the Senate informing the House that the Senate have elected William Allen Junr of Norridgewock as a member of the Committee to examine into the affairs of the State Prison &c on their part.

Ordered, that the Committee on the Pay Roll be instructed to make up the usual number of twenty days additional pay to the Clerk of this House in full compensation for his services in revising the entrees upon all the original papers which have passed the House the present session, filing the papers & making up the Journal - read & passed.
