[Report reference to the next Legislature] Mr. Usher from the Committee on Turnpikes &c, on order of February 19th to inquire into the expediency of authorizing the town of Hebron to demand toll of persons passing a certain bridge in that town over the Little Androscoggin River, reported that the subject be referred to the next Legislature. Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

On motion by Mr. Gardner Ordered that when the Senate adjourn, they adjourn to meet again at 3 o'clock this afternoon. Adjourned

[Mr. Kingsbury discharged from a com - Mr. Emerson appointed] Mr. Kingsbury at his own request was discharged from the Committee of the Senate to whom was referred the Report and order of the House of Representative on the petition of Gamaliel E. Smith and Mr. Emerson was appointed.

[Bill concerning taxes passage refused] Bill additional concerning the assessment and collection of taxes was read a second time and passage refused. s.d.f.c.

[Resolve for the purchase of Greenleafs Maps &c of this state] M. Kingsbury from the Committee to whom was referred Resolve authorizing the Secretary of State to subscribe for a map of Maine and statistical work by Moses Greenleaf reported the same in a new draft entitled Resolve additional providing for the purchase of statistical view of this State, was read and tomorrow 10 o'clock assigned for 2nd reading.

[Resolve for the assistance of the Deaf & Dumb] Mr. Cushman had leave to lay on the table resolve for the assistance of the Deaf and Dumb passed the 5th day of February last and the same was read and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.

[Resolve in favor of Erastus Foote] Mr. Gardiner had leave to lay on the table Resolve in favor of Erastus Foote and the same was read once, ordered to a second reading, again read and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.
