Friday January 15th 1830

Met according to adjournment.

Remonstrance of Daniel Smith & als of Waterboro against the legality of the votes for Governor, Senators &c given in, in said town, was read & referred to the committee who have under consideration the votes for Governor. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr Smith of Nobleboro'

Ordered, That when this House adjourns it adjourn until Monday next at eleven oclock - read & passed.

The committee appointed to draft Rules & Orders for the government of the House &c, made their report, which was read & accepted, and thereupon Ordered, that the Clerk of this House cause 300 copies thereof, together with a list of the Standing committees of the Legislature and the Civil Government for the current year, to be printed for the use of the members

The committee appointed to report a list of members with the number of seats they occupy respectively, made their report which was read & accepted.

Remonstrance of George Smith, Town Clerk of Readfield agst the legality of the votes of said town, given in for Governor, was read & referred to the committee who have under consideration the votes for Governor. Sent up for concurrence.

The Speaker laid before the House a communication from Elias Thomas, Treasurer of State, transmitting a Report of the Treasury for the year 1829, which was read & ordered to lie upon the table.
