Report on the petition of Asa Stevens & others - Stephen Chase & others - D. Marshall &als Josiah B Hadley & others - Nathan Cutler & others - granting leave to withdraw, were severally read & accepted in concurrence with the Senate.

On motion of Mr Kelsey of Guildford, Ordered That Messrs Kelsey of Guildford, French of Chesterville & Andrews of Wales be a committee to inquire into the expediency of requiring from the several towns & plantations, an annual return of extent of roads & bridges supported in the same and the amount of taxes paid for their support - read & passed.

Resolve in favor of Nathaniel L Ingersoll, was read a second time, and amended, & then ordered to be laid upon the table.

Bill - to extend the powers of the Trustees of the ministerial funds in Bridgeton was read 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.

Resolve for the benefit of Isaac Tolman & others was read once & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a second reading

Bill in addition to an act to establish the Cumberland & Oxford Canal Corporation, came from the Senate amended for concurrence and the House so far receded from their former votes as to concur with the Senate.

Bill - to change the name of the first Evangelical Congregational Church and Society in Eastport, was read third time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - to incorporate the Maine Baptist Convention, was read a 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at ten oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.
