The House resumed the consideration of the Resolve in favor of Anson & Alfred Academy - The amendment moved yesterday by Mr. Freemen of Cherryfield & amended by the House, was this morning withdrawn by leave of the House. - And then on motion of Mr. Bourne of Kennebunk the House resolved itself into a committee of the whole House, on the Resolve aforesaid, Mr. Smith of Nobleboro' in the Chair - and after remaining some time therein the committee rose reported progress and asked & obtained leave to sit again. The House ordered the subject to be laid upon the table.

On motion of Mr. Wells of Freeport, Ordered, That the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to enquire into the expediency of requiring the Inspectors of fish to make an annual return to the Governor & Council, of the whole quantity of fish packed by them and of the several kinds as they were inspected, said return to be made by the 20th of December annually. - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr. Swan of Portland, Ordered, That when this House adjourn, it adjourn until eleven o'clock this morning - read & passed. Adjourned. 11 o'clock A.M. Met according to adjournment

Bill authorizing the improvement of the Mousam River was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a 3d Reading.

On motion of Mr. Swan of Portland, Ordered, That the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to enquire if any further legislation be necessary to relieve towns from the expense of supporting Lunatics in
