Resolve in favor of the Canada Road was called up & on motion referred to Messrs. Smith of Nobleboro, Clark of Hallowell, Norton of Canaan, Ruggles of Thomaston & White of Monmouth.

The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed, Bill, an act additional to an act defining the general powers & duties & regulating the office of Sheriffs & Constables -

- to establish the Bath Ferry Company - 
- additional act to prevent the destruction of the fish called Salmon & alewives on Dennys River & Pinmaquan in the County of Washington - 
- additional to an act giving Remedies in Equity -

which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill establishing the Hallowell Ferry Company, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill establishing the fees for culling & packing Mackerel was called up & referred to the committee on the part of the House on Interior Fisheries.

Bill to change the name of the first Parish in Shapleigh was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill an additional act respecting Inholders, Retailers and Common Victuallers, reported in a new draft, was read a
