� I David Durrell of Dixmont in the County of Penobscot yeoman do hereby testify & say that on or about the month of May 1775 (being then of the town of Arundell in York) I enlisted into the Revolutionary war for six months in Cap't Benj Hookers Company: (I do not now recollect the Reg't) I was ["I was" stricken] We were[insert mark] stationed at Kenebunk to guard the coast. I served this time out but I was regularly discharged: -- In the month of January or Feb 1776, I inlisted again for eight months in Cap't Tobias Sands Company & Col. Thompsons Reg't (then under the immediate Command of Major Insley). I joined my Reg't at Portland. We were unpaid at that place the whole[insert mark] of the join time in building the Fort on the Hill. [ink blot] Neck at that place: I served my said term out & was regularly discharged at that place: -- on or about the month of August 1777, I inlisted again for four months in Cap't Joshua Nasons Company, Col Stancys Reg't G Lincolns Bridgade: I joined my Reg't at at Benningtontown. I was at the Battle & Capture of Burgoine, the 14th of October. After this we marched to Albany with Burgoine's Army. I continued at Albany till my said time of inlistment was out, & I was regularly discharged: which discharge I have since lost. I am now under reduced circumstances & need the assistance of my County for support. I hereby [?] all [?] to any previous Pension an [?] of my said services. David L Durrell [signature]
