� State of Maine Kennebec Count, ss. on this Eighteenth day of September, 1820, personally appeared before Nathan Weston Jr, a Justice of the Circuit["Circuit" stricken] Supreme[inserted] Federal[inserted] Court of Common Pleas["of Common Pleas" stricken] for the Counties of Lincoln, Kennebec and Somerset["Counties of Lincoln, Kennebec, and Somerset" stricken] being a Court of Record for said Counties["Counties" stricken] State[inserted], proceeding according to the course of the common law, having original jurisdiction, unlimited in amount, keeping a record of their proceedings, and having the power of fine and imprisonment, Allen Dwelly aged fifty six years, resident in the Plan No 3 in the County of Penobscot within said Counties["Counties"stricken] State[inserted], who being first duly sworn according to law, doth, on his oath, declare that he served in the Revolutionary war as follows, viz. in the Company commanded by Captain [?] and Regiment commanded by Colonel Sheppard of the line of the State of Massachusetts upon the Continental Establishment, for the period of three years that his original declaration was made before Judge Kinsley on the twenty ninth day of April 1818; that is now on the Maine Roll, and that his pension certificate is number 14250. And I, the said Allen Dwelly do further solemnly swear, that I was a resident citizen of the United States, on the eighteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighteen; and that I have not, since that time, by gift, sale, or in any manner whatever, disposed of my property, or any part thereof, with intent thereby so to diminish it as to bring myself within the provisions of an act of Congress, entitled, "An Act to provide for certain persons engaged in the land and naval service of the United States, in the Revolutionary War," passed on the eighteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighteen; and that I have not, nor has any person in trust for me, any property or securities, contracts or debts, due to me; nor have I any income, other than what is contained in the schedule hereto annexed, and by me subscribed. The following is a Schedule of my whole Estate and income, necessary clothing and bedding excepted, viz: Real Estate[underlined], none one Yoke of Oxen, which I purchased with my pension money - of the value of thirty six dollars one cow - twelve dollars 13 sheep + 1 lamb - four dollars 1 swine - four dollars old house hold stuff (besides bedding) six dollars I have no debts due me which can collected + I owe an old debt of one hundred dollars but by reason of my poverty I have not been called upon for payment for many years -- I have no trade, my occupation is that of farmer, but having a bad rupture I am[insert mark] unable to do but a little labor - my family consists of my self, my wife Charity aged fifty five years, who is feeble and by reason of the Rheumatism and these complaints is unable to take care of herself a great part of the time, and my son Allen aged sixteen years or rather feeble constitution - I have had much
