101 shall assess for the support of government, the polls and estate of such residents of adjacent unincorporated places as may on or befor [sic] the first day of May annually signify to such Assessors their wish to vote for State and County Officers, and to prohibit the Selectmen of such towns from receiving the vote of any such resident unless he shall have complied with such provision, and report to this House by bill or otherwise - which upon motion was laid upon the table.
