Message from the Governor, To the Senate and House of Representatives, The Order of the two branches of the Legislature authorizing the Governor with the advice of Council to remove the injunction of secrecy, when in their opinion it may be done in safety to the interest of the State, has been under the consideration of this Department and for the reasons stated in the report of the Council herewith communicated, and in pursuance of said order, I hereby with the advice of Council remove the injunction of secrecy on the proceedings of the Legislature from and after this day. Council Chamber March 9, 1832 Saml E. Smith which came from the Senate and was read. sent up.

On motion of Mr. Clifford, Ordered, that the proceedings on the Secret Journal be transferred to the public Journal of this House.

Mr. Williams moved the following order, Whereas some of the statements made in the communication published in the Maine Daily Journal of March 3 1832 over the signature of "Truth" must have been made or communicated by some member or officer of this House who was under the injunction of secrecy and bound by every principle of honor, duty and propriety to keep secret all the proceedings of the House, had in secret session and not to disclose or communicate the same to anyone not a member or officer of the House. Therefore, Resolved, that the member or officer of this House whoever he may be who could have been so regardless of his
