Banks and Banking, Bill to establish the Oxford Canal Corporation, reported by the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges, and Canals, were severally read once and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.

Mr Megquier, from the committee on the Judiciary, reported leave to withdraw on the petition of Samuel Parsons and others, Upham T. Cram and others, Joshua Sweat and others, Sundry inhabitants of Portland, Trustees of Fryburg Academy, Town of Hope, Town of Cornville, Town of Fayette, severally read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence.

The same gentleman from the same committee reported that Legislature is inexpedient on the subjects of the following orders, to wit, Order relating to the Trustees of Academies, Order relating to Registers of Deeds and County Treasurers. Order relating to Commissioners without the State, Order relating to costs in criminal prosecutions, severally read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence.

The committee on engrossed Bills, reported as correctly engrossed, Resolve in favour of Simon Lovitt, Resolve for the relief of William Hilton Junr and the same were severally. Finally passed.
