Resolve in favour of Nathaniel Fernald, reported by the committee on State lands, were severally read once and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.

The petition of William Hammond and others, for a grant to build a bridge over Piscataqua river, was read and referred to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges, and Canals in concurrence.

The petition of Samuel Buffum and others praying for aid in making a read, was read and referred to the committee on State roads, in concurrence.

Order from the House, instructing the committee on the Militia to enquire into the expediency of making an appropriation for repairing a Gun house in Eastport, read and passed in concurrence.

Report of the committee on the Judiciary, on an order relating to certain powers of the Supreme Judicial Court, that legislation on the subject is unnecessary, came up from the House recommitted to the same committee with instructions to report a Bill. The Senate nonconcur the House in said recommitment, and accept said report. Sent down for concurrence.

Mr Ingalls, from the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges, and Canals, reported leave to withdraw on the petition of Ira Wadleigh and others, accompanied by a statement of facts in the case, which report was read and amended so as to allow the petitioners leave to bring in a Bill, and accepted as amended.
