233 Bill regulating the survey of Lumber in the county of Penobscot, reported by a joint select committee was read once and Monday next at eleven o'clock assigned for a second reading and ordered, on motion of Mr. Scammon, that three hundred copies of said Bill be printed for the use of the Legislature.

Resolve for aiding the town of Westbrook in repairing a road was read a second time and recommitted to Messrs. Webb, Scammon and Gibson.

Resolve to admit James T. Leavitt to practice law was read a first and second time and laid on the table.

Resolve to admit Allen Hains to practice law was read a second time and laid on the table.

The committee on engrossed Bills reported as correctly engrossed, Resolve respecting the United States Bank Resolve transferring polls and estates from Jonesborough to Jones Port, Resolve authorizing Mary Foster to sell certain lands and for other purposes and the same were severally finally passed.

The same committee reported as correctly engrossed Bill to increase the capital stock and extend the duration of the Canal Bank, Bill to incorporate the Bangor Mutual Fire Insurance Company and the same were severally passed to be enacted. Adjourned. Attest William Trafton, Secretary pro tem
