On motion of Mr Davee, Ordered that the times to which the Senate will adjourn daily until otherwise, ordered, be half past nine o'clock in the morning and half past two o'clock in the afternoon, except on Saturdays, when the adjournment shall be to the following Monday at eleven o'clock in the forenoon.
On motion of Mr Sweat, Ordered, that the Senate proceed to the choice of Messenger, and Messrs Sweat, Davee, and Thompson were appointed a committee to receive, sort, and count the votes. Who, having attended to the duty assigned them, reported that the whole number of votes given was - 18 all of which were for Charles Morris. Charles Morris was then declared unanimously elected.
