Tuesday January 14th 1834 Met according to adjournment

On motion of Mr. Hannaford of Cape Elizabeth Ordered that the House reconsider their vote of yesterday whereby they passed an Order requesting the Committee on Literary Institutions to enquire into the expediency of repealing the Law passed March 4th 1834 entitled an Act to provide for the Education of Youth and the Clerk informed the Senate thereof by message and requested that the same be returned to this House

Communication from Samuel Moore signifying his acceptance to the office of Councillor to which he had been elected by both branches of the Legislature came from the Senate was read and sent up

A message was received from the Senate proposeing [proposing] a convention of the two branches of the Legislature this day at Eleven o'clock in the Representatives Hall for the purpose of administering the necessary oaths of office to Samuel Moore Councillor elect requesting the concurrance [concurrence] of the House and the House concurred and the Clerk by Message acquainted the Senate therewith
