Militia of this State and asking concurrence.

Agreeably to previous order, the Senate proceeded to the choice of a Major General of the fourth Division of the Militia of this State, and Messrs. Cobb, Scammon and Gibson were appointed a Committee to receive, sort and count the votes who reported that the whole number of votes given in were 21 Necessary to a choice 11 Abner B. Thompson has 19 Samuel Moore " 1 Robert P. Dunlap " 1 Two Blanks Abner B. Thompson was then declared duly elected.

Messrs. Pease, Drummond and Talbot were then appointed a Committee to receive sort and count the votes for a Major General of the Seventh Division of the Militia of this State who reported that the whole number of votes were 24 Necessary to a choice 13 Samuel Moore has 14 George Downes " 10 Samuel Moore was then declared duly elected and a message was sent to the House of Representatives informing that body, that the Senate had concurred with the House in the election of Abner B. Thompson Major General of the Fourth Division and Samuel Moore Major General of the Seventh Division of this State.
