A communication from the Secretary of State in obedience to a call from the House of Representatives, was read and sent down.

The Report of the joint Standing Committee on Incorporation of Towns to whom was committed a Bill to incorporate the town of Lexington, came from the House amended for concurrence; and the question on receding and accepting the same as amended, being ordered to be taken by Yeas and Nays, was decided in the affirmative as follows. Yeas Messrs. Burnham Cobb Cogswell Emerson Hunton Herrick Howard Knowlton Pease Read Scammon Smith Warren Webb Williamson 15 Nays Messrs Boutelle and Drummond 2 and said Bill was passed to be engrossed in concurrence.

Resolve for the payment of Accounts against the State. Read twice and passed to be engrossed in concurrence.

On motion of Mr Williamson, Ordered that when the Senate adjourn, it adjourn to meet again at seven o'clock this evening, of which the House of Representatives were informed by Message.
