Gentlemen; the associations that have originated in our mutual relationship at this board, have impressed themselves deeply upon my feelings, and will continue through life, to be hallowed in my recollection. In returning to your respective families, bear with you my sincere wishes for your and their best good & happiness, and be also assured, that wherever your high and honorable devotion to the interests of our rising Republic may hereafter lead you, and whatever may be your future condition of public or private life, it will be to me a pleasure, always to render you individually the homage of genuine and unaffected friendship. Gentlemen, we are about to close our session, and with its close to seperate [separate], as has justify been remarked, never in all probability, to reassemble as fellow servants of the public; but if there be ought of melancholly in the thought, let it be dispelled from our minds by the firm persuasion, that we seperate [separate] in a spirit of amity, and with feelings of mutual good will, of a kindred character with that spirit and those feelings which will inspire us at some future period in a world to come, when and where we shall meet again with those near and dear to us, to seperate [separate] no more forever.
