Communication of Mark Harris, transmitting the annual Report of the Treasurer, exhibiting a state of the finances, laid upon the table yesterday, was referred to Messrs Labaree, Smith and Howard, with such as the House may join. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred & Messrs.

Mr. Groton from the Committee on Claims, reported leave to withdraw on the petition of Sewall Watson, praying to have certain moneys refunded; which Report was read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Petition of Inhabitants of New Vineyard for a new County, was read and referred to the Committee on the Division and alteration of Counties, in concurrence.

Petition of Humphrey Purrington and others for a Bank in Topsham, " of Asher Ware and others, Directors of the Exchange Bank in Portland for an increase of Capital; were severally read and referred to the Committee on Banks and Banking, in concurrence.

Petition of the Trustees of St. Albans Academy, praying for a donation, was read and referred to the Committee on Literary Institutions. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
