Petition of Selectmen of Hartland, that a part of St. Albans may be annexed to said Hartland, Remonstrance of sundry inhabitants of St. Albans against same, Petition of Joseph Moore and others to be set off from Hartland and annexed to St. Albans; severally read and referred to the Committee on Division of Towns, in concurrence.

Petition of Geo. W. Stanley and others for a law imposing a tax on Stud Horses, read and referred to the Committee that have that subject under consideration in concurrence.

Petition of sundry inhabitants of Kennebec County for a Survey of lumber, came up from the House, referred to Messrs. Mildrum, Small of Monmouth, Sabine, Allen of Lubec, and Merrill of Belgrade, with such as the Senate may join; read and referred, and Messrs. Bradbury and Kelsey are joined in concurrence.
