Order from the House of Representatives requesting the Committee on the Judiciary to inquire into the expediency of so altering the laws relating to trespass, that they shall have the same bearing against trespass that they shall have the same bearing against trespass committed on lands belonging to individuals, as they do now against trespass committed on lands belonging to the State; read and passed in concurrence.

Petition of John Fisk and others, that the office of General Inspector of Lime and Lime Casks, may be abolished; read and referred to the Committee that have that subject under consideration, in concurrence.

Petition of Benjamin Riggs for Commissioners to be appointed to examine into the affairs of the Bath Bank; read and referred to the Committee on Banks and Banking in concurrence.

Petition of William Woodman for a Boom at Passadumkeag, " of Israel Herrin and others for a Charter to build a Bridge across Sebasticook River in Clinton, " of C. C. Wilcox and others, that the laws now in force for the protection of property in logs, masts &c. may be so amended as to make the taking of such articles, felony; severally read and referred to the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges, and Canals, in concurrence.

Report of Committee on Division of Towns in referring petition of inhabitants of Chandler's Gore to next Legislature, came up from the House, recommitted. The Senate reconsider their vote accepting said report, and recommit the same in concurrence.
