On motion of Mr. Bradbury, Ordered, that the Joint Standing Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of repealing an Act, passed February 7, 1825, exempting from taxation, manufacturing Companies of Cotton, Wool, Iron and Steel, for a limited time, and all other acts exempting property from taxation within the limits of this State. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

On motion of Mr. Pierce, Ordered, that the Secretary of the Senate be directed to inform Mark Harris Esq, that he has been duly elected Treasurer of the State of Maine for the current political year.
