Petition of John Lunt and others for a Bridge across the Sebasticook River in Clinton was read & referred to the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Bill to incorporate the town of Lawmasset was taken up. The Senate reconsider their vote passing said Bill to be engrossed, nonconcur the House in their proposed amendment and amend said Bill by striking out the word "Lawmasset" wherever it occurs in the Bill, and inserting in lieu thereof the word "Shirley" and pass the same to be engrossed as thus amended. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred

Resolve to ascertain the number of the Blind in this State, and Resolve for the relief of the indigent Blind, reported by Mr Emmons from the Joint Select Committee to which was referred an order for ascertaining the number of Blind within this State from thirty years of age and under, severally read once and ordered to lie on the table and ordered that three hundred copies of said report be printed for the use of the Legislature.

The Committee on Engrossed Bills reported as correctly engrossed. Resolve respecting the State Prison, - and on motion of Mr Pierce, the vote, passing said Resolve to be engrossed, was reconsidered, and said Resolve was amended and passed to be reengrossed as amended; of which the House were informed by message and their concurrence requested. Concurred.
