Resolve proposing an amendment to the Constitution of this State came up from the House in a new draft, read once, and the question of passing said Resolve to be engrossed in concurrence with the House, being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the affirmative as follows, to wit; Yeas. Messrs. Allen, Bradbury, Bridgham, Brown, Cobb, Cogswell, Chandler, Farnham, Groton, Howard, Kelsey, Knowlton, Labaree, Manning, Pierce, Porter, Prescott, Smith, Tobin and Williamson - 20. and none in the negative.

On motion of Mr Allen, ordered that when the Senate adjourn, they adjourn to meet again at half past three o'clock in the afternoon.

Adjourned.

Afternoon. The Senate reconsider their vote accepting the report of the Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions giving leave to withdraw on petition of John Blunt and others and recommit the same. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
