per acre - the amount of cash paid into the Treasury of the State each year for the sales of land, timber, grass or Hay - the amount paid each year to Agents, Surveyors, persons exploring or assisting in surveys, or for any expense whatever incurred in relation to the State Lands - the preservation of timber or grass - the amount now due the State for the sale of lands, timber or grass - specifying the names of the persons indebted, when the notes were due, and from the best information in his possession to what amount (if any) the persons indebted are unable to pay.

On motion by Mr Parris of Buckfield, Ordered That a committee of the House to be joined by the Senate, be appointed to contract with some suitable person to do the State printing for the current political year - and Messrs Parris of Buckfield, Walton of Portland, & Cony of Orono were appointed on the part of the House - Sent up for concurrence.

Mr Abbot of Vassalboro, presented the memorial of Charles T. Coffin & others in behalf of the Vassalboro Quarterly Meeting of Friends on the subject of Capital punishments, which on his motion was ordered to lie on the table.

Petition of John Chandler, Collector of Customs, for the District of Portland & Falmouth &c, praying for a law authorizing the United States to hold land necessary for Light Houses &c came from the Senate referred to Messrs Smith & Barnard with such as the House may join - and the House concurred & Messrs Gordon of Belfast, Vose of Augusta & Kimball of Bethel were joined.

On motion by Mr Cilley of Thomaston, Ordered That when the House adjourns it ad-
