The Committee on engrossed Bills reported as truly engrossed Bill - An act relative to the safe keeping of persons lunatic or furiously mad, which was passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion by Mr. Dumont of Hallowell, Ordered That Messrs. Dumont of Hallowell, Boyd of Harmony & Humphrey of Gray with such as the Senate may join be a committee to whom shall be submitted all the Acts & Resolves which shall be passed by this Legislature whose duty it shall be to designate what are public & what are private, & certify the same to the Secretary of State - Sent up for concurrence

On motion by Mr. Steward of Anson Ordered, That Messrs. Steward of Anson, Bolster of Rumford, Burleigh of Dexter, Hobbs of Waterboro, Bucknam of Falmouth, Chadwick of Gardiner, Lowell of E. Machias, Heagan of Prospect, Bridge of Dresden & Vose of Castine with such as the Senate may join, be a committee to enquire into the expediency of abolishing the Courts of County Commissioners & of establishing Courts of Sessions in the several counties in this State. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion by Mr. Shaw of Wiscasset, Ordered, That Messrs. Shaw of Wiscasset, Dillingham of Turner & Prescot of St. Albans be a committee to take into consideration the propriety of providing by law for the appointment of School Commissioners for the inspection of our public schools in this State.
