again considered; read a second time, when Mr Curtis of Freedom moved its indefinite postponedment - and that question was taken by yeas and nays and decided in the negative as follows, yeas 48 nays 100 and then the Bill was amended by striking out twenty five hundred dollars and inserting in lieu thereof one thousand dollars & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence

Resolve - providing for the appointment of School Commissioners, was read once; and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d reading.

Bill - An Act to incorporate the Maine Stock and Pattern Farm Company, was read a third time and on motion of Mr Humphrey of Gray referred to the first Wednesday of January in the year of our Lord Nineteen hundred. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr Holmes of Alfred, Ordered, That the forty first rule be so altered or explained that to postpone "to a day certain" beyond the political year shall be deemed & taken, a motion to "postpone indefinitely"
