272. Tuesday, March 10, 1835. The Senate, on motion of Mr. McLellan, reconsidered their vote of yesterday assigning this day at three o'clock in the afternoon for the second reading of "Resolve for the payment of Accounts against the State" an assign this day at ten o'clock in the forenoon for the second reading thereof.

On motion of Mr. Smith, The further consideration of the Bill to incorporate the Kennebec Lumbering Company was postponed till tomorrow at ten o'clock.

Bill to prevent the circulation of small Bank Bills was read the second time, and the same, on motion of Mr. Purinton was committed to a Select Committee of the Senate, consisting of Messrs. Purinton, Emmons and Bartlett.

The Senate reconsider the vote whereby they passed to be engrossed the Bill to incorporate the Waterville and Fairfield Rail Way Company, amend the same and order said Bill reengrossed as amended, of which the House were informed by message and their concurrence requested.

A message was received informing the Senate that they House had concurred with the Senate in the proposed amendments and reengrossment of the Bill to incorporate the Waterville and Fairfield Rail Road Company.

The further consideration of "Bill additional to promote the sale and settlement of Public Lands" was resumed, sundry amendments adopted and
