342. The same Gentleman from the Committee reported reference to next Legislature on an order relative to gambling, and legislation inexpedient on an order relative to delays and the defeat of justice in Criminal prosecutions, and on petition of the proprietors of the Baptist parsonage in Shapleigh -- read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Mr. Clark, from the Committee of Conference on the disagreement of the two Houses on "Resolve establishing a Board of Internal Improvements," a report recommending the Senate adhere to their former vote -- read and accepted, and said Resolve was further amended and passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Bill additional concerning parishes, was taken up. The Senate recede from their vote of the 21st instant passing the same to be engrossed and indefinitely postpone the same, in concurrence.

The Committee on Engrossed Bills reported as correctly engrossed, Resolve to protect the State Buildings against injury by fire, Additional Resolve for the payment of accounts against the State and the same were severally finally passed.

The report of the Committee, to which were referred petitions and remonstrances of sundry Female Citizens of Brunswick, Winslow, Shapleigh, Wiscasset, Orono, Alfred, Warren, Carmel and Etna, Waldoboro' and Bangor, came up --- the House insisting on their former vote. Mr. Fish moved to adhere to the former vote to nonconcur with the House; and
