On motion by Mr Buxton of North Yarmouth Ordered That the Committee on Accounts be instructed to inquire into the expediency of providing by Law, some better method of auditing accounts against the State. Sent up for concurrence

On motion by Mr Maine of Dearborne, Ordered, That the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of providing by law that the Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court and also Court of Common Pleas, shall in all jury causes before them tried between party & party, reduce their charge to writing at the request of authority or their agents on attorneys, so far as the same relates to matters of law. Sent up for concurrence.
