263. the Judiciary. Sent up for concurrence.

Report of the Committee of this House made on the 2n inst, on the Bill entitled An Act prohibiting the emission & circulation of Bank Bills of a small denomination and certain others", was called up and recommitted.

The Committee on engrossed Bills reported as truly engrossed Bill - An Act additional to an Act to organize, discipline & govern the Militia - - An Act to incorporate the Greenleaf Slate and Coal Company - which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr Stuart of Scarboro, Ordered, That the Committee on road & bridges be instructed to inquire into the expediency of reducing the tolls on Vaughans Bridge in the County of Cumberland with power to send for persons & papers. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion by Mr Paine of Hallowell Ordered That the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of providing by law, that the action of Replevin shall, on the death of the Defendant, survive against his personal representatives. Sent up for concurrence

On motion of Mr Lippincot of Columbia Ordered, That the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of abolishing the law requiring Inspectors of Fish to pay a duty for their Commissions. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion by Mr McIntire of Parsonsfield,
