On motion of Mr Jewett, Ordered that Messrs Jewett, Jarvis & Talbot be a committee to draft Rules and Orders for the government [?] of the Senate for the current political year.
On motion of Mr Painton. Ordered, That instead of the Joint Standing Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals, then be one on Rail Roads and Canals and one one Turnpikes, Bridges, Booms and Dams, Read and passed. Sent down for concurrence.
On motion of Mr Frye. Ordered, that Messrs. Frye, Benton and Allen be a Committee to write the several Clergymen of the towns of Augusta and Hallowell to Officiate as Chaplains to the Senate the present session, in rotation according to seniority.
On motion of Mr Talbot Ordered, that when the Senate adjourn it shall be to meet again at ten o'clock tomorrow morning and that shall be the time to which the Senate shall adjourn Sundays accepted, till otherwise ordered.
