Saturday, January 30. 1836. On motion of Mr Jewett, Ordered, that the Committee on Manufactures be instructed to inquire into the expediency of an Act in addition to an Act in relation to Manufacturing Companies, making the private property of Stockholders in such Companies liable in all cases of deficiency of the Capital Stock to pay the Debts to an amount equal to their Stock. Sent down for concurrence.

Concurred.

On motion of Mr Severance, Ordered, that the Secretary of State be requested to make out in tabular form, a list of all the incorporated Colleges, Seminaries and High Schools in this State, with the amount of donations they have received from the Legislature of this State, and also from the Legislature of Massachusetts before the separation, designating the amount in money and the amount in land, the date of each donation, the date of the incorporation of each College &c, and the State of the funds of each by the last returns.

Order from the House of Representatives, instructing the Committee on the Judiciary to inquire into the expediency of providing by law for obtaining lands for burying grounds in towns or villages without the consent of the owners, when such consent cannot be obtained on payment of an equivalent as provided by the Constitution - read and passed in concurrence.
