Petition of Roscoe G. Greene and others praying to be incorporated into a Company by the name of the York Sicnite Company, severally read and referred to the Committee on Manufactures in concurrence.

Petition of Atwood Seavensaler and others, praying for alteration of the Lime Law, came up from the House referred to a Joint Committee, consisting on the part of the House of Messrs. Fletcher of Thomaston, O'Brien, of Warren, Chase of Camden, Milliken of Lincolnville and Meservey of Appleton, with such as the Senate may join - read and Messrs Miller, Spear and Merrow are joined in concurrence.

Bill to make valid certain doings of the first parish in the town of Fryeburg (reported in the House by the Committee on the Judiciary on petition of the first parish in Fryeburg) read once and recommitted in concurrence.

Mr. Merrow, from the Committee on Division of Towns, reported reference to next Legislature on petition of William Fitch and others - read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Resolve for the sale of land belonging to the Passamaquoddy Indians (reported by Mr. Jewett from the Joint Select Committee on so much of the Governor's message as relates to the sale of land belonging to the Passamaquoddy Indians) severally read once and ten o'clock tomorrow assigned for a second reading.
