The Committee on Engrossed Bills reported as correctly engrossed, Bill for the further regulation of the State Prison, -"- for laying a tax on the several Counties in this State, -"- to incorporate the Machias Hotel Company, -"- to incorporate the Muskongus Granite Company, -"- to incorporate the Eden Granite Company, -"- to incorporate the Erosophian Adelphi of Waterville College, and the same were severally passed to be enacted.

The same Committee reported as correctly engrossed, Resolve authorizing the Board of Internal Improvements to commence a Geological Survey of the State, and the same was finally passed.

Bill to incorporate the South West Bond Mill Dam Company was read the second time and passed to be engrossed, in concurrence.

Bill to encourage the culture of silk within this State was read the second time and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Bill to establish a Municipal Court in the town of Augusta (in new draft) was read once and tomorrow morning nine o'clock assigned for a second reading.
