And I wish an explanation in regard to this subject now; because there has been a bill introduced in the House, and this is the only opportunity for examination before final action will be taken. Q. What do you understand that this proposed new building is to cost? A. The building as proposed last year was under discussion, and proposals were received to build the building without the heating apparatus and without furnishing, for about $24,000. And I am informed that possibly contractors could now be found who would build it for about that sum. Q. $24,000 without furnishing and without grading the grounds? A. Nothing was said about grading the grounds. There would be but little to do. Q. That is what I want to ask. The proposition was to locate it directly back of the chapel? A. Not directly, as I understood it Q. You are familiar with the grading and arranging of grounds. What should you judge that would cost? A. That would defend upon what scheme was adopted. It would be difficult to answer without knowing just what was to be done.
