[page 266] Testimony of Cora Motherwell, sworn Dr. Butler: There are two points to which this evidence relates. The first is the utter incompetency of the medical management of that hospital. By Dr. Butler: Q. How long have you been in the hospital as an attendant? A. The first time I was there a little over 3 years. Q. Then you were away? A. I left there the first of March and went back again in July, I think it was, and stand about 9 or 10 weeks. Q. What halls did you have charge of? A. The first time I was there I had charge of the middle east- hall, the middle third; the second time I had charge of three different wards. Q. Were you discharged at either of these times? A. No, sir, I was not. Q. You left voluntarily? A. Yes, sir. Q. Do you remember the case of ^ the illness of Nellie Lee? A. Reed? Q. Nellie Reed? A. I do, yes, sir. Q. In which ward was she? A. In my ward, in the middle east, or middle third. Q. Was this Nellie Reed very ill at one time under your care? A. Yes, she was.
