� Williamsburgh 21st August 1824

Sir I have this day rec'd your letter enclosing the money for Mr Erwins taxes for which is subjoined a rect. I will take care to inform you duly of taxes as they arise, + shall be glad to any service I can conveniently respecting the land -- In haste Respectfully [?] M. G.

Recd of John Erwin by the hand of William Carleton four Dollars + forty six cents in full for the State, County, Town + Highway taxes on said Erwins' land in this term for the year 1824 -- Moses Greenleaf Treasurer of Williamsburgh
