Camden August 4 1829 Dear Sir I have not sean Mr. Ewins since I re'd your letter in may but am in hops of seeing him soon You menchened you head not re'd the money of Hill & Starrett I hope you have re'd it before this the money has ben in there hand ready Ever sence last fall & they have enough in there hands to pay the taxes for 1829 & if you will have the goodness to send to them & re'd it by secure purson who you may find goine to Bangor you will oblidge me I have written to them this day to pay you the amount due for the taxes this year as well as the last year if not paid You will pleas to send me the amount of the taxes for 1829 & whether you have Re'd the money for last year Yours Respectfully William Carleton
