3.12--Commissioners from Maine for the Promotion of Uniformity of Legislation in the United States. Created by P.L. 1895, c. 138, § 1. Abolished by P.L. 1955, c. 405, § 4.

Duties--examine subjects of marriage and divorce, insolvency, form of notarial certificates, descent and distribution of property, acknowledgement of deeds, execution and probate of wills and other subjects; ascertain the best means to affect assimilation and uniformity in the laws of the states.
