Duties -- study present general provisions of the sta-tutes relating to acquired settlements subjecting mun-icipalities to pay for support of persons on account of poverty or distress; report any desirable changes or amendments in such settlement laws.

Members -- not more than 15 representing the State, mun-icipalities and the public appointed by the Governor.

Duties -- study the needs of and the services to chil-dren and youth throughout the State; serve as a clear-inghouse of information with respect to these needs and services; provide a means for youth to express them-selves and present their opinions to our Legislative body.

Members -- 75 citizens representing interests of chil-dren appointed by the Governor, 1959-1961; 20 including 1 each from House of Representatives, Senate, De-partments of Education, Health and Welfare, Mental Health and Corrections, and 15 representative citizens all appointed by the Governor, 1961-1971.
