62 July 13th

  Sunday and I have been to meeting to day for the first time since we left Maine. have been in Camp all day. wrote a letter home in the forenoon.

July 14

  I was in Camp all day. received a letter from a friend from Windsor Maine. 2 of our boys has gone to Washington to day.

July 15th In Camp all day. I received 11 letters this evening. 2 from home 4 from Windsor Maine 1 from Sidney 1 from Waterville 1 from Kindalls Mills 2 from Sandwich Mass. I was glad to hear from the folks.

July 18 I was on guard to day and it is raining very hard I received a letter from home to night and one from a friend in Windsor.

July 19

  Come off guard this morning at 9 oclock and was in camp the rest of the day. wrote a letter home in the afternoon. The Counter sign last night was Vicksburg.

July 20th

  I was in Camp all day we signed our pay Rolls to night. we are going to git paid in the morning.
